A.O. Smith delivers heat as by-product of DHW
Heating requirements can be provided as a by-product of domestic hot water using the Theta dual-service system from A.O. Smith. Camp sites and sports facilities are potential installations. The system can also be used with solar water heaters for applications with a relatively small heating demand compared to DHW.
The Theta system consists of a plate heat exchanger with a primary DHW pump, 3-way mixing valve, temperature sensor, intelligent control system and all necessary connections to install the system.
The set point for heating and hot water can be set separately. The heating set point can be 70°C for radiators or 40°C for underfloor heating.
