New lamps for old — and Lumicom recycles the old luminaires
A project to upgrade lighting in the gallery spaces of the National Portrait Gallery made fully use of Lumicom’s disposal services to ensure that all the luminaires removed were disposed of responsibly. The project involved replacing100 W tungsten-halogen spotlights with low-energy Erco LED fittings from 12 to 14W.
The work substantially reduced the installed load and associated energy consumption.
