KSB sets up online shop for pumps and spares

Pump distributor KSB has developed a web-shop providing a one-stop solution for customers to select pumps and spares and order them online. This development speeds up selection and product identification, pricing and ordering. Customers’ details are stored, and discounts are automatically applied. The site is updated regularly, helping to eliminate mistakes that can be made by ordering from catalogues that are out of date. Finding spares is made easy by finding the right pump and then selecting the part from an exploded diagram. Alan Bell, KSB’s marketing director, says, ‘Time is a commodity which many of our customers compete on, particularly with distribution. Those customers who sign up to the KSB web-shop can select, price and state delivery while on the phone ot their customer. With the ability to produce a technical quotation, they can also back this up in writing with one action.’
