Sontay launches WELLSense to help smart buildings prioritise health, wellbeing and indoor air quality

Sontay has announced the launch of WELLSense, a next-generation total indoor air quality (IAQ) sensor developed to meet the growing demand for healthier, smarter and more sustainable buildings.

Officially launching at Smart Buildings Show 2026, WELLSense is the culmination of more than two years of innovation, development and customer collaboration, bringing together comprehensive environmental monitoring within a single, elegant sensing platform.

As organisations place greater emphasis on employee wellbeing, productivity and healthy indoor environments, IAQ has become a critical consideration in building design and operation. At the same time, frameworks such as the WELL Building Standard are increasingly influencing how buildings are designed, managed and assessed, driving demand for accurate and accessible environmental data.

WELLSense has been developed to support this growing market need by providing a complete picture of indoor environmental conditions through a single device. These devices can be used to support buildings in achieving the WELL Building Standard.

With BACnet and Modbus communications as standard, WELLSense integrates seamlessly into modern building management systems, providing real-time environmental data that can support intelligent ventilation strategies, optimise building performance and enhance occupant wellbeing.
