No need for extra time with pre-sealed ductwork

Savings in installation time of over 40% for LindabSafe pre-sealed ducting have helped ensure that the new stadium of Doncaster Rovers FC did not incur the penalties of extra time.

The speed of installation of LindabSafe ductwork in the new stadium of Doncaster Rovers has helped reduce the risk of the project moving into extra time. As part of the fit-out of the stadium at the £32 million Lakeside Sports Complex, around 6.5 km of LindabSafe ductwork and fittings in diameters from 100 to 500 mm has been installed in kitchens, washrooms, conference facilities and hospitality areas. The Lindab products were specified and installed by DuctVent Services of Bolton. Sam Taylor, a director of the company explains that these products are quick and easy to install because the factory-fitted gaskets mean sections can simply be pushed together to create a highly airtight seal. He says, ‘We chose LindabSafe because of the amount of time we save, and thanks to that we are ahead of schedule. Lindab says that LindabSafe saves at least 39% on installation time, and in our experience, that is about right.’
