Ensuring that servers in the headquarters of Concorde Logistics can continuing operating during prolonged power cuts is a 60 kVA diesel generator installed by Scorpion Power Systems.
Secure power for 35 servers at the London headquarters of Concorde Logistics, a specialist IT and medical-logistics company, is provided by a turnkey package from Scorpion Power Systems. The project included the installation of a state-of-the-art power support system, including consultancy, design, installation and commissioning. The headquarters of Concorde Logistics in Southall is the nerve centre of its extensive logistics network, which includes 30 UK sites and 40 throughout Europe. The project avoids the risk of a prolonged power cut rendering the servers unable to function and the company unable to operate. The installation includes a 66 kVA diesel generator with automatic mains failure to support the existing UPS system for as long as a power cut lasts. A power failure is recognised by the auto mains failure panel (AMF), and the generator is started. When mains power is restored, the AMF monitors the supply until it is stable before shutting down the generators.
