As part of Emcel Filters’ 50th anniversary celebration, company chairman Dennis Marshall presents the man-of-the match award for the match between Sussex and Durham to Sussex captain Chris Adams for his magnificent innings of 193 — which took Sussex to the top of the County League.
Emcel Filters celebrated its 50th anniversary last month by sponsoring the county cricket match between Sussex and Durham at the beautiful Horsham ground. Founded by the present chairman Dennis Marshall, the company designs and makes specialist air filters and filtration equipment for many diverse applications. The occasion gave Emcel the opportunity of bringing the cricket festival back to Horsham and hold three hospitality days for staff and their guests. Gus Mackay, chief executive of Sussex County Cricket Club, said, ‘We are very grateful to all those who have played a part in ensuring the return of cricket to Horsham, where we have a good record of success.’
