Lochinvar offers solar hot water for commercial and industrial projects

By working with Rayotec, Lochinvar can offer hot-water systems that use solar energy.

Lochinvar and Rayotec have joined forces to offer renewable water-heating solutions for commercial and industrial applications. Lochinvar manufactures water heaters and boilers, and Rayotec is an established UK distributors for Schott solar panels. David Pepper, managing director for Lochinvar says, ‘With the continued drive towards more utilisation of sustainable energy sources for buildings, we’re pleased to be working with Rayotec to provide our customers with renewable solutions for commercial and industrial water heating solutions. ‘Lochinvar water heaters can be installed in conjunction with a solar thermal installation, using the solar gain to pre-heat the feed water. I believe the combination of both companies’ high-quality products, knowledge and expertise makes us a formidable force in the fast-growing LZC [low- and zero-carbon] sector.’ The Lochinvar premise is that one size does not fit all and that each application for solar water heating should be assessed individually, taking into account factors such as orientation of the roof, location, weather data for the area and distance between the plant room and the solar-collector installation. Other factors include plant-room space and hot-water usage during the day.
