Panasonic ensures comfort for new Wolseley distribution centre

Servicing the offices and IT areas of Wolseley’s new distribution centre at Chorley are five heat-pump Panasonic VRF air-conditioning systems.
Air conditioning for the administration and IT offices of Wolseley’s new 3350 m2 distribution centre at Chorley is provided by Panasonic Urban Multi MX4 VRF systems. The installation comprises compact outdoor heat-pump units with ceiling cassettes internally. The Panasonic systems were sourced through Climate Center, Wolseley’s specialist air-conditioning business unit. Five VRF systems provide heating and cooling through 48 4-way cassettes. The air-conditioning system and other M&E services are managed by the FM operation of W. H. Good Building Services. David Sumner, director for design and build, says, ‘We took great care in selecting advanced air conditioning and renewable-energy systems to create an impressive building that will remain cost effective for ongoing operation and maintenance, with admiral credentials.’
