Vent-Axia helps create the right atmosphere for grass-roots football

Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council has specified Vent-Axia low-energy ventilation, including heat recovery, to serve a £750 000 sports pavilion development. It is being funded as part of a national scheme to encourage young people to get involved in local grass-roots football. The new pavilion includes six changing rooms, coaching room, toilets and kitchen.
Installed by Waveform Services, the ventilation system has six PAC315 ducted inline fans to serve the main changing areas. They cut 30% off the height of conventional inline fans and have an inclined inlet and bellmouth entry that directs incoming air to the impeller with minimal turbulence — reducing noise and achieving higher ventilation efficiency and performance.
Other changing rooms are ventilated with HR300 and HR200 units.
The HR300 is a stand-alone heat-exchange unit capable of transferring 70% of outgoing heat to incoming air at 300 m3/h.
The HR200WK is a self-contained heat-recovery unit with two mixed-flow fans. Its polymeric heat-exchange cube has a temperature efficiency of up to 75% and an airflow rate of 200 m3/h.
Vent-Axia also supplied ACP Powerflow units for ventilating toilets and kitchen areas.
