Andrews supplies condensing water heaters for RSA Academy in Tipton

Andrews Water Heaters, DHW
Nearly 10 000 l/h of hot water can be provided for the new RSA Academy in Tipton by two Andrews condensing water heaters.

Andrews Water Heaters has supplied two condensing water heaters and buffer tanks to meet the high demand for DHW at the new RSA Academy in Tipton. This £23.5 million project provides state-of-the-art facilities for 1100 students and aims to become a centre of excellence for the teaching of Opening Minds, the RSA’s curriculum that encourages students to discover information for themselves, learn how to work effectively in teams, manage their own time and work to deadlines.

The two SUPAflow condensing gas-fired water heaters each have an output of 285 kW and a recovery rate of 4880 l/h through 50 K. They were selected by Derry Building Services. The building’s requirements for hot water include wash hand basins and sinks in cloakrooms, classrooms, laboratories and kitchens, as well as showers in the adjacent sports facilities.
