CA Design Services buys into building information modelling

CA Design Services has purchased a majority shareholding in building-information-modelling (BIM) specialist Cadnet. The purchase follows a successful period of collaboration and comes at a time when BIM is becoming more than just a buzzword in the industry. CA believes that in a few years, BIM will be the mainstream way of working in the construction industry.

Steve Brown, managing director of CA Design Services, says, ‘Whilst some uncertainty exists among potential users, Cadnet has already been through the learning curve in delivering practical consultancy, solutions and services, and we are very much looking forward to working closely with Cadnet in delivering our combined expertise to the construction and FM markets.’
