MHI extends the capabilities of its multi-split air conditioning

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, MHI, multi split air conditioning

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has increased the capability of its multi-split air-conditioning offering with the addition of two outdoor units than can serve indoor units in five rooms. The previous limit was four rooms. The new SCM outdoor units have cooling capacities of 10.0 and 12.5 kW.

These units include MHI’s newly developed DC twin rotary compressor with inverter control and a new M-shaped fin for optimum balance of heat transfer and airflow. MHI has also matched a new propeller fan motor with an energy-saving leaf-shape grille to direct airflow from the unit more efficiently to reduce the load on the motor and fan and also reduce noise levels.

These outdoor units can be configured with any indoor units from MHI’s range — from wall mounted and ducted options to 4-way ceiling cassettes and floor-standing models.
