Dimplex air curtain ensures warm welcome for refurbished hotel

Providing a warm welcome for guests in this refurbishment hotel in London’s Covent Garden are sliding doors with a Dimplex architectural air curtain above them.

As part of the refurbishment of the Kingsway Hall Hotel in London’s Covent Garden, a Dimplex ARC architectural air curtain has been installed to prevent draughts from the large entrance doorway with automatic sliding doors. These 2 m-high doors open into the main reception and adjacent bar area, and the potential for uncomfortable draughts was recognised by general manager Laszlo Nyari, who consulted with John Kindell of JWK Electrical, the hotel’s electrical contractor.

A stainless-steel Dimplex ARC architectural air curtain was selected and installed over the doorway of the 170-bedroom hotel Mr Nyari comments, ‘The ARC is modern looking and quite slimline, so it looks good. We keep it on permanently at busy times because heat can escape very fast through the doors, and we need to ensure guests are kept warm and comfortable at all times.’
