200% sales growth and 25% increase in the workforce were achieved by Evance Wind Turbines in 2011.

Evance Wind Turbines, a leading UK manufacturer of small wind turbines, has reported sales growth of over 200% for 2011 and entering 2012 with a strong forward order book for its R9000 small wind turbine. Continued strong demand has seen Evance double the size of its facility to increase manufacturing capability and increasing the workforce by 25%.

The installed base of Evance wind turbines can generate nearly 10 GWh of electricity a year, saving over 4250 t of CO2 a year.

CEO Kevin Parslow says, ‘We’ve seen a strong demand for turbines, and we are keen for the Government to continue its support for this important emerging renewables sector through stable Feed-in Tariffs that encourage the wider adoption of small-scale wind turbines by individuals, communities and small businesses.’
