BMS interface for water heaters

A O Smith, water heater, DWW

A. O. Smith now offers a BMS interface for its BFC, SGE and SGS ranges of high-efficiency gas-fired condensing water heaters. The SGE and SGS ranges can also operate with solar-thermal panels. The output from the BMS interface is in the Modbus protocol, one of the most commonly used protocols. The interface can be added to existing installations.

The interface can monitor nearly 50 parameters, legionella settings, fault indications, solar contribution, temperatures in the appliance, burning hours etc.

Monitoring legionella settings and checking the program is very important. The BMS interface can register, by processing information about the temperature in the tank, that the legionella program ran at a specific date and time.
