Network Rail refurbishes with MHG boilers

The right kind of boilers — supplied by MHG for refurbishing Network Rail offices at Victoria Station.

As part of major refurbishment work at Victoria Station in London, MHG heating has supplied two floor-standing boilers with a combined output of 450 kW for Network Rail’s Kent-side offices. The boilers were supplied complete with integral plate heat exchangers and flexible flues to replace aging plant that was inefficient and uneconomical. They serve a fan-coil system that is separated from the primary system by the integral plate heat exchangers.

The boilers were specified and installed by Tate Building services. Project manager Wayne Harris says, ‘This was the first time we had used MHG, and they were a real pleasure to work with. The equipment is of excellent quality, and the flue installation was to a very high standard. We will definitely work with MHG again.’

The ProCon boilers installed have net efficiencies of up to 109.5% when tested to the requirements of the European Boiler Efficiency Directive. They have a modulation range of 10 or 15 to one.
