Qualitair exploits cellar cooling for hot water

Pubs and other establishments with cellars that are cooled can recover heat using a Qualitair HRU unit to heat water up to 50°C instead of rejecting that heat to atmosphere. These compact units can be retrofitted to existing cellar cooling systems, with their purchase and installation costs being recovered within two years if they operate for the normal average of 18 h a day.

Qualitair’s cellar coolers qualify for Enhanced Capital Allowances. There are four models with operating temperatures from 5 to 23°C and are ideal for general keg, real-ale storage areas and bottle cooling.
