Bank of Cyprus UK banks on Powercall

Shenton Group, standby power, emergency generator
Standby generation is provided within the hour for Bank of Cyprus UK by Shenton Group’s Powercall service.

Bank of Cyprus UK has contracted with Group’s emergency-generator service to provide power within the hour. The Powercall service ensures that emergency power is delivered and connected within a target time of less than an hour and a guaranteed commitment of three hours. Until standby generation is delivered, the UPS supplies power from batteries.

When the generator arrives, it is simply connected to the pre-fitted connection point and the customer advised to switch over to the generator. An indicator lamp on the changeover switch shows when mains power has been restored.

Powercall is seen as a useful service when there is not enough space to accommodate a standby generator and fuel tank, or if there is not enough budget. Powercall eliminates the need for large capital expenditure.
