SI Sealy wins flurry of M&E projects

During a recent 2-week period, building-services consultant SI Sealy & Associates was appointed to provide M&E design for five new projects with a combined development value in excess of £20 million. David Stafford, a director of the Stockport-based company, said, ‘It has been a great few weeks for winning new work, particularly given the difficult economic conditions in the construction sector.’

The new projects include extensions at six primary schools in Hertfordshire for modular-building provider Extraspace Solutions.

Other work includes a new-build 80-bed carehome for Lakeview Rest Homes in Lytham St Annes on behalf of M&E contractor CMB Engineering.

Another new-build is a 42-unit extra-care project on behalf of SDA Consulting being developed by Great Places Housing for Rochdale Boroughwide Housing.

In addition, the birthing suite at Barnsley is being refurbished.

Other recent projects for SI Sealy included the detailed building-services designs for The Co-operative Group’s new iconic headquarters building in Manchester.
