Sontay sponsored Jaya Sachi McFarland (pictured with a member of his team after the event), the son of an employee, in his challenge to run the ‘Back to the trenches’ 10 km assault course in Surrey. He raised £1600 to take the young people he works with at the St Pier’s School Young Epilepsy Children’s Home on a holiday, with any remaining spent on sensory toys for the children.

The extremely hilly ‘Over the top’ course included carrying tyres, crawling beneath barbed wire, wading in deep water, swimming through a lake and jumping over fire.

He finished 46th out of 682 people.

Sontay specialises in building control peripherals.
