Chilled-water air conditioning using R22 at the offices of Woodhouse Environmental Services (WDS) in Bournemouth has been replaced with Panasonic’s integrated VRF and heat-recovery ventilation systems. The installation included large ducted and wall-mounted indoor units for a quick, simple and energy-efficient installation.

WDS Call Centre provides customer-service solutions to major technology and communications brands — including Tesco mobile and Google.

The compete system was required to cater for the high-density office, introduce continuous fresh air and remove stale air. The work was required to be undertaken with the tenants in residence and minimum disruption.

The first phase of the project used integrated VRF and heat-recovery ventilation. An energy-monitoring touchscreen control provided multi-zone temperature adjustment.

As part of the second and third phases, ducted indoor and wall-mounted units were installed. They also supply fresh air and remove stale air.
