Boiler hire responds to district-heating crisis

Andrews Boiler Hire, space heating, boilers

When three separate 500 kW heat modules servicing a district-heating system in east London broke down under the increased load presented by new properties being added to the system, Andrews Boiler Hire was quick to deliver and hook up a 1500 kW boiler to ensure continuity of service.

The containerised boiler was served by a 9000 l fuel tank that was skated inside the main plant room to avoid it being next to a relatively busy road. This ensured that the temporary system was kept behind closed doors, with anti-vandal doors and a heavy-duty padlock ensuring the safety of the equipment while it was on hire.

The rental boiler and fuel tanks remained in place for a number of weeks while the faulty units were decommissioned for overdue repairs. It was taken offline when those units had been serviced or replaced and reconnected.
