residential scheme, Liverpool

Liverpool City Council has approved plans for a residential scheme with 656 apartments on the edge of the city centre. Submitted by Vinco Group, Freemasons on the junction of Leeds Street and St Bartholomew Road consists of four separate residential towers of 16 storeys around three landscaped courtyards.

On the ground floor are a number of commercial spaces that will be marketed to fill the needs of the local community and owners of the homes. Residents will be able to make use of a ground-floor gym and business centre within the scheme.

Designed by Falconer Chester Hall, the buildings will have concrete and glazed facades offering a light and fresh structure enhanced by a lantern effect to the upper floors of each tower. Between each block, there will be a communal garden on the ninth floor, creating an open communal space and with cascading greenery hanging gardens.

Chris Boles, senior project manager for Vinco, said, ‘Our team has worked hard to ensure that the scheme delivers an impressive new development which provides a significant number of high-quality residential apartments in an up-and-coming area of the city.’
