Heat pumps supply space heating and hot water

Air-to-water heat pumps for heating and hot water are offered by Atria Heat Pumps. The Thermia Atria range is quick and easy to install. Potential applications range from social-housing units to private homes of all sizes and swimming pools. Used with underfloor heating systems, a COP of 3.5 can be achieved. An optional cooling module is available. These heat pumps use scroll compressors and have outputs from 4 to 12 kW using a single-phase supply. Each unit includes storage capacity for up to 180 litres of hot water at 60°C. Coil defrosting is automatically carried out by circulating warm brine rather than using electrical energy.
