Priva controls central boiler plant serving Orkney homes

Priva
This wood-burning boiler and oil-fire backup boiler serving underfloor heating systems in 40 houses in Orkney are controlled by a Compri HX3 controller from Priva Building Intelligence.
Centralised boiler plant serving 40 homes in Orkney is provided by a Compri HX3 controller from Priva Building Intelligence. The homes are owned by Orkney Housing Association and have underfloor heating systems served by a centralised wood-burning boiler with oil back-up. The heating systems are linked to the distribution pipework by a heat exchanger. Although this island is devoid of trees there are sufficient waste delivery pallets to provide a constant source of fuel. The Compri HX3 controller monitors and controls the boiler and its associated pumps. A powerful 32-bit processor enables high processing speed and computing power. Large quantities of data such as program settings and adjustments, alarm messages, energy consumption and logs can be stored in RAM to create a reliable base for subsequent data analysis. All programs are safely guarded in flash memory. Alarm messages are sent to the mobile telephone of the clerk of works as text messages, so that a dedicated line did not have to be installed.
