Thousands of diffusers have been supplied for an office development in the City of London by Gilberts of Blackpool in a contract worth £100 000. The 18-storey Aldermanbury Square development will be one of the focal points of a newly re-energised City quarter in the Wood Street/London Wall precinct when it is opened later this year. Gilberts has designed, made and supplied almost 2400 components. They include 4-slot diffusers for the perimeter supply/extract and 4-way rectangular louvred-face diffusers for supplying fresh air. All diffusers have been supplied with plenum boxes designed and made by Gilberts. A number of double-deflection and egg-crate grilles have been provided for the two basement areas, including store and plant rooms. The slot diffusers for this project are from the new GSL series featuring removable directional control blades to allow horizontal or vertical air distribution. The 4-way-blow louvred diffusers are specially designed for suspended ceilings. The diffusers were specified by consultant Hilson Moran and installed by FCS Ductwork.
