TCUK introduces the next generation of its Aquasmart control system

TCUK’s Aquasmart Plus control system can integrate the control of HVAC systems. This display shows an air-handling unit with energy recovery.
Toshiba Carrier UK has further developed the control system for its Aquasmart air-conditioning system to ensure that HVAC systems operate as fully integrated systems designed to maximise energy efficiency in build- ings from 150 to 4500 m2. It uses the open-protocol BACNet system developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). The Aquasmart Plus control system can interface with most building equipment such as boilers, security systems, lighting and lifts — in addition to existing third-part air-conditioning equipment and building-management systems. Aquasmart Plus has a built-in web server so that it can display the system it is controlling on web-browser software, handheld PDA or mobile telephone. The control can monitor energy usage and energy performance. It uses a thermal-imaging display for quick reference of areas and their relative temperatures. Reports and trend information can be generated.
