The heating and hot-water requirements of a new campus at Filton College are met by three Ferroli cast-iron boilers with modulating burners providing a total output of 1950 kW.
Ferroli commercial boilers are delivering energy-efficient heating and hot water for Filton College’s new WISE campus, which provides state-of-the-art performing and creative-arts facilities — including an indoor pitch for football and rugby, 2250-seat theatre, rehearsal rooms and ceramics studio. Some 50 showers provide a high demand for hot water. The campus also houses Bristol Academy of Sport and is used by local teams such as Bristol Rovers and Bristol Rugby Club. M&E Contractor MITIE Engineering specified three gas-fired GN 4N cast-iron boilers, each with 14 sections and an output of 650 kW. Modular burners and 3-pass flueway contribute to efficient operation.
