As part of the refurbishment of Somerfield stores across the UK and the building of new stores, Dimplex is supplying air curtains to help ensure that interiors remain regulated, hygienic and comfortable for shoppers. Somerfield has over a thousand stores in the UK, and building-services manager Mike Hopkins explains, ‘We specify the Dimplex air curtains across Somerfield stores nationwide. The equipment is of an extremely high quality, but what is just as important to us is the high level of customer service and after-sales support we get from Dimplex.’ Two recent projects include a the refurbishment and extension of the store at Wareham in Dorset and a new store in Aberystwyth. The Wareham store is a Market Fresh convenience store, with an emphasis on fresh foods. Three Dimplex air curtains have been installed over separate entrances. The new Somerfield store in Aberystwyth incorporates two Dimplex recessed air curtains, each with thermostatic control. They fit easily into the suspended ceilings for an unobtrusive, streamlined look. Up to 10 Dimplex air curtains can be linked using a kit to provide gap-free coverage across larger doorways.
