Three functions in one valve, the Danfoss Randal AB-QM series of automatic balancing valves is now available from Sontay.
Danfoss Randall’s AB-QM series of automatic balancing valves is now available from Sontay. These automatic HVAC balancing valves are proven to reduce installation and commissioning time and costs. AB-QM valves combining the functions of a motorised control valve, a pressure-control valve and a double-regulating commissioning valve. They can be used for balancing and controlling fan coils, chilled ceilings, air-handling units and other HVAC equipment in constant-flow or variable-volume systems. These valves are easy to size and set for a specific application. Fitting a standard valve with one of four types of Danfoss actuator enables it to be upgraded to a motorised control valve with full authority to provide both temperature control and flow balancing in one space-saving device. The three control functions are specifically matched to ensure optimum system performance. The AB-QM is said to be the only automatic flow limiter that does not require isolating, draining or venting if the flow section needs changing.
