CIBSE develops sustainability guidance

CIBSE
CIBSE has published a series of guidance on the role of building-services engineers in delivering sustainability. The first is a free guide ‘Introduction to sustainability’. It explains the origins and meaning of sustainability and the drivers to contribute to a more sustainable built environment. Secondly, there is a full guide setting out some fundamental principles to deliver more sustainable buildings. It emphasises the importance of influencing the brief and adopting a strategic approach. Finally, there is an online searchable database of good-practice guidance to enable users to generate a shortlist of measures related to a specific sustainability issue and pick those that are suitable for a particular building.
