Dutch software company prepares to bring its drafting software to the UK

CAD drafting tools that are used by over 7000 customers of Dutch software developer Stabiplan are being brought to the UK. StabiCAD software is totally dedicated to building-services applications, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire-service pipework. Drawings are typically created quickly in 2D, with the possibility of viewing and editing installation in 3D, enabling draftsmen to check for clashes with other equipment. The company is making its products available for resale in the English version by the end of the year. Stabiplan wants to gather feedback from UK building-services draftsmen on its localised UK edition, which will be made available at no charge to evaluators during the Autumn. Solution providers and manufacturers of building-services equipment that would like to add Stabiplan products and services to their portfolio are also invited to get in touch. StabiCAD is said to deliver productivity improvements of over 50% compared with basic AutoCAD. With a choice of two DWG-based platforms, StabiCAD is available as an AutoCAD application and a version for IntelliCAD.
