Predicting the life of carbon filters

filters
To help make the best use of carbon filters, Emcel offers a service for predicting their life.
To identify the optimum time for replacing carbon filters, Emcel Filters has developed a carbon-life prediction service, which is free to Emcel customers. Replacing filters too late results in loss of filtration efficiency; replacing them too early costs more than necessary. The adsorptive power of the carbon filter when new is compared to that of a part-used cell and the length of time the filter has been in operation to predict its life. Two approaches are offered. The first is to analyse a partly used filer, with Emcel supplying an identical replacement. The other is for Emcel to make carbon cells with a small removable test area for returning for laboratory analysis. An airtight plug replaces the test area.
