Heat-pump chiller can deliver hot and cold water at the same time

Both heated and chilled water can be delivered at the same time by Rhoss EXP chillers, eliminating the need for a separate boiler.
The Rhoss range of EXP heat-pump chillers from Coolmation is a self-contained hybrid system that can produce hot and cold water at the same time, enabling commercial air-conditioning systems to achieve significant savings on capital equipment, design, installation and energy costs. The hot and cold water is delivered through a 4-pipe system. These chillers are available with cooling capacities from 10 to 1000 kW with COPs as high as six. Using these chillers eliminates the need to install a separate boiler, with claimed savings in running costs of up to 35%. EXP chillers have been used in numerous applications across Europe to provide a more sustainable heating and cooling solution in line with the recommendations of the Energy Performance in Buildings Directive.163
