Riello upgrades oil burners

Riello Burners
In response to falling levels of sulphur in heating oils, Riello has upgraded the design of several burner ranges.
Burner specialist Riello has upgraded several ranges of oil-fired burners. They are the RL and RLS dual-fuel commercial burners and the RDB and R40 residential models. The new designs include new pump features in response to recent changes in UK fuel specifications. While reductions in the sulphur content of fuels reduce harmful emissions, it can also reduce the effect of lubrication on the fuel system. Analysis from the field has shown sulphur levels in domestic heating fuel as low as 8 ppm. For commercial burners products, components and materials have been selected to suit low-sulphur fuels — including kerosene and biodiesel. Phil Adams, Riello’s managing director, says, ‘As part of our continued product-improvement programme, Riello has invested in a fully automated state-of-the-art residential pump test rig, allowing full traceability and testing of 100% of our warranty returns in the UK, so we can immediately identify and respond to any potential issues in the market.’
