Wieland launches gateway between LON and EnOcean

Wieland sensors
Wieland Electric has launched a gateway to enable its EnOcean wireless sensors and switches to interface with LON. The company’s KNX gateway won the KNX product of the year award for 2007. The system can manage up to 56 EnOcean radio-controlled channels with up to 170 transmitters. All EnOcean profiles are implemented. Configuration settings are saved and managed in an LNS (LonWorks Network Services) database. LONmark conformity ensures interoperability between other LON devices. Wireless channels can be programmed independently of the LON network. Wieland’s EnOcean-LON gateway is available for DIN rail mounting and as a supplement to the modular decentralised I/O device series Gesis LON RM. This can also be supplied in a Gesis RAN distribution box with full plug-and-play wiring compatibility.
