F gas training courses

Business Edge is offering a programme of F gas training and assessment courses at several locations in the UK in response to the requirements for certificates of competence under EC Regulation 842/2006, which applies to everyone who installs, services and repairs air conditioning, heat pumps and refrigeration. These requirements go significantly beyond those of certificates for the safe handling of refrigerants.

There are four categories of certification. Most RAC technicians and service engineers will need category 1 or 2 certification, which covers full leakage checking, refrigerant recovery, installation, maintenance and service. Pipework and brazing skills are a mandatory part of the assessment.

The courses last three days, which Business Edge is confident is adequate despite concerns that four or even five days might be required.
