FETA expands its interests in fire protection

FETA (Federation of Environmental Trade Associations) has joined the Passive Fire Protection Association. David Sugden, chairman of the PFPF, says, ‘FETA brings technical knowledge of further built-in fire-protection products such as smoke-control dampers, smoke-control fans and ventilation equipment.’

Paul White, chairman of the HEVAC Fire & Smoke Damper Committee, explains, ‘We joined the PFPF because we can get information on new fire safety regulations (e.g. Approved Document B) sooner. Thanks to its regular meetings with Government, FETA can also help with consultation on new construction projects regulation.’
