Smith’s Skyline fan convectors give warm welcome in Welsh pub

Ceiling-mounted fan convectors have replace old and cumbersome radiators in the refurbishment of the function room in this pub on the River Wye in Wales.

Heating in the popular function room at a pub in Wales has been brought up to date using ceiling -mounted fan convectors from Smith’s Environmental Products. Eight Skyline units were installed at The Anchor in Tintern on the River Wye as part of an extensive refurbishment project.

Geoff Dawe, owner of The Anchor, says, ‘The function room was completely refurbished. We took out some disgusting wall-mounted panel radiators that were three metres long and taking up all the wall space.

The new Skylines have their controls linked so that they can all be controlled from one central master switch. They are installed in a 600 mm-square ceiling grid.

This pub dates from the 12th century and is set in extensive grounds alongside the River Wye against the backdrop of Tintern Abbey.
