HVCA, agency workers

Guidance on the regulations covering the hiring of agency workers, which come into effect on 1 October 2011, has been published by the HVCA and the Building Services Engineering Employment Agency Alliance. The guidance is designed for use by contractors and employment businesses. The ‘Agency workers regulations 2010’ provide agency workers, following a 12-week qualifying period, with an entitlement to the same basic working and employment conditions they would enjoy if directly employed by the hirer.
