MHS updates primary school’s boiler plant
MHS Boilers has supplied two Ultramax Thision L boilers and a free-standing cascade system with plate heat exchanger to replace aging boilers at Pentland Primary School in Stockton-on-Tees. This large school has over 330 pupils and serves most of the families in the Billingham area.
The plant room is small, with restricted height and floor space. Peter Kemp, project manager with Twin Services, which installed the boilers, said, ‘The compact and energy-efficient design of the Thision L in cascade was a key factor for this particular school Maintaining effective heat outputs while keeping the carbon footprint to a minimum was the main priority, which we delivered successfully with MHS.’
Ultramax Thision L wall-hung condensing boilers have outputs from 65 to 145 kW and a turndown ratio of 6:1. They have a double-helix stainless-steel heat exchanger.
