Grundfos boosts sales and spending on R&D

Pump manufacturer Grundfos has reported an 8% growth in sales for 2011 to £2.1 billion, despite the financial downturn that affected a large number of the better established economies, especially in western Europe. The year also saw a 13% increase in R&D spending on the development of new energy-efficient circulators that have now been introduced to the market.

Grundfos has also taken action to reduce its carbon emissions, with the result that emissions were the same as 2008, despite the opening of a number of new factories and increased production.
