Haier builds up UK distributor network

One of China’s leading air-conditioning manufacturers, Haier, has established a network of four distributors in the UK. The latest is Hushon of Portsmouth, which joins BSS, Kooltech and NRW, to handle Haier’s portfolio of air-conditioning units from 0.2 kW up to 3.9 kW. Last year, Haier supplied 8% of the total European commercial and residential air-conditioning market and exported over 1.2 million units — an increase of 44% on the previous year. Its world-wide turnover is US$12 billion. Last year, Haier extended the range of cassettes it offers in Britain with the introduction of larger capacities and specially designed low-ambient heat pumps. It also introduced inverter-driven air conditioning with R407C and R410A. The wide range of ducted systems includes high, medium and low static types, as well as low-ambient cooling-only models, inverters and a very slim range of bulkhead duct air conditioners.
