Production of Siemens OpenAir damper actuators has now exceeded 10 million. The product has been produced since 1990 and proved an enormous success with specifiers and installers all over the world.

This extensive range of actuators has four platforms to cover applications from HVAC and controlling air volume to dampers for fire and smoke protection. The actuators are available in linear and rotary versions.

Their robust design and uniform installation and wiring concept makes for cost-effective installation, commissioning and maintenance. OpenAir is compatible with KNX and the Siemens Desigo BEMS platform. New models are backward compatible.

Ian Ellis, marketing manager with Siemens Building Technologies, says, ‘The OpenAir range is popular because it appeals to installers and building owners alike. Quiet operation and energy efficiency, along with straightforward installation give OpenAir the edge. Siemens also offers extensive documentation and support for the whole range.’
