Sudlows upgrades Swinton data centre

Sudlows, data centre

A key data centre of high-street insurance broker Swinton Insurance is being upgraded by Sudlows under a £700 000 contract. The work will deliver a data centre that is more energy efficient and enhance the operational capacity to accommodate commercial growth, improve resilience and reduce the risk of downtime.

Andy Hirst, global director for Sudlows, says, ‘These M&E upgrades to the Swinton data centre will provide a new platform to support staff located in the Manchester HQ and throughout the broker’s significant branch network.’

Steve Baxter, head of delivery service for Swinton adds that the upgrades will provide a robust technical platform from which the group can deliver its ambitious growth over the next five years.

Swinton handles over 4.5 million policies a year.
