Larger fully condensing boilers added to the Cyclone range from A. O. Smith have outputs up to 100 kW.
To cater for larger demands for domestic hot water, A. O. Smith now offers two Cyclone BFC fully condensing water heaters. They have outputs of 82 and 100 kW and efficiencies up to 96%. These storage water heaters are said to be so efficient that they achieve the same recovery rate as larger water heaters from a much smaller unit. Siting flexibility is maximised by a choice of vertical or horizontal concentric flue kits with runs of up to 15 m. Parallel flue systems can be constructed with lengths up to 100 m. These water heaters have down-firing pre-mix burners and ThermoControl to combat the risk of legionella. An optional maintenance programme means the temperature can be set to run a cycle at 80°C to destroy any legionella bacteria.
