Compact louvres have class A weather rating

Gilberts, weather louvre

Gilberts offers small-scale high-performance weather louvres from a unit that is just 32 mm deep. Typically to provide high weather protection, external louvres have a large deep-form louvre profile to present high resistance to water penetration. Its free area ratio is 40%.

The WH-38 series is based on a new 38 mm blade. Its 32 mm depth is small enough to install into a window-frame rebate or aperture. The various options include a frame designed to enable WH-38 unit to bead into popular window apertures.

The weather resistance is achieved by a 38 m louvre with parametric curve blade profile having an upper weather lip. It has been tested by BSRIA to EN 13030. With an insect screen, the unit achieve a class A weather rating at up to 1 m/s. With a built-in thermal break, the unit is ideal for natural-ventilation applications.

The WH series is available in flanged, channel or glazing-frame borders and can be made in sizes from 200 to 1000 mm square in one unit. Larger sizes can be supplied and assembled in sections.
