The realities of improving building performance

How Mitsubishi Electric improved the energy rating of its headquarters building at Hatfield from E to B is explained in a video on YouTube. Russell Jones, who hosts the video, explains, ‘We’ve been on an 8-year journey, and one of the things that we are saying in this video is that any business can and should be planning to improve the performance of their building.’

He continues, ‘Just like any other company we have had to make a strong business case for each new piece of equipment, but the fact that we have improved so much and have significantly reduced running costs shows the advantages that can be gained.’
