Desigo PX I/O modules reduce system wiring costs

Desigo
Significant reductions in wiring requirements can be achieved using Siemens’ Desigo PX range of I/O modules, which are sited close to the plant they control.
By siting local I/O panels close to the plant they control the latest I/O modules in the Desigo PX building-automation range from Siemens Building Technologies eliminate the need for costly individual connections between the central controllers of a building-automation system and remotely sited actuators and sensors. Only a single low-cost network cable is needed to link the I/O panel to the central controllers. The modular design of the Desigo PX I/O system enables any combination of inputs and outputs to be provided. Modules are available to suit all commonly used I/O functions, including signalling, counting, measuring, switching and positioning. There are also interface modules for a wide range of third-party devices. P-bus technology is used for communication between the I/O panels and the central controller over distances of up to 200 m.
